In this episode we got to connect with a lot of fans and have some very much needed conversations about topics many producers need advice in. A viewer called in talked about how to get paid from the streams independent artists are getting on songs using your beats. One possible solution we discussed was using Distrokid to content ID your beats which would give you the earnings from YouTube videos that your beats are in.
We talked about reading where Dylan recommended his favorite book "The Science of Getting Rich" and also talked about why he never finished reading the 48 Laws of Power.
A producer called in who is currently playing football and studying finance at Harvard Nniversity. He talked about the struggle of finding balance to get better at making beats as well as his plans after he graduates.
We also talked more about selling beats online and how most producers sleep on using an email marketing system with their beat stores. When you do this you end up losing out on getting customers to buy again or come back to buy a beat after a free download.
