Secret Producer Town Hall Footage ft. Sonny Digital, Yung Lan, DJ Toomp & More
Today on the CEO Morning show we brought out our stash of secret footage from the most recent Producer Town Hall meeting which was back in November 2019. The town hall is our signature series where we bring in a panel of industry veterans including producers, lawyers, etc to discuss current events and issues in the music business. This is what we see as the first step to creating the Music Producer Union and helping solve the issues that most producers face in the industry.
In this video Dylan highlighted some of his favorite conversations from the Atlanta Producer Town Hall which featured Sonny Digital, DJ Toomp, Yung Lan, Karl Fowlkes, Jason Reddick (ASCAP Urban), Aurielle Brooks, & Jermaine Maxwell.
Some of the conversations covered were; music publishing, royalties, what to expect when getting a placement as a producer, what to do when you dont get paid, filing DMCA takedowns, as well as issues producers face when using loops.
We had some viewers call in and give their opinions including BusyWerks Beats & Karl Fowlkes himself. This was an amazingly informative episode!
